Most of us don’t appreciate this until it’s too late

There’s an old saying:

“If you don’t take care of your body, where are you going to live?”

I love this quote, because it really encapsulates a fundamental truth about life that many of us, sadly, don’t properly appreciate until it’s too late.

Wherever you go, whatever you have, and whoever you’re with — your body is the one thing you always take with you, and it’s the one thing that determines what you’re able to do and, more importantly, who you’re able to be.

Fortune and glory?

It’s not worth a thing if you don’t have your health.

You could have all the wealth in the world. You could live in a castle made with golden bricks, have a cellar full of 1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, and be sitting on a million-dollar stock portfolio. But if you’re too sick to get out of bed, what’s all that really worth?

In the end, without our health we have nothing.

Don’t you agree?

Most of us know someone — maybe a few people — who neglected their health for too long, or maybe just didn’t properly invest in their health, and now they’re paying the price.

I know of a father who couldn’t fly overseas to attend his daughter’s wedding.

Why?

Because his lifestyle caught up with him at the wrong moment.

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to my family, I consider our health to be the most important investment that I, as a husband and parent, could ever make.

Over the last week, we’ve looked at how a balanced microbiome — also known as a “healthy gut” — is, in many respects, the FOUNDATION of our health. There are dozens of clinical trials which show that people who regularly replenish their gut with the healthy bacteria it needs enjoy heightened immunity against colds, respiratory infections, and even the flu. When a new bug or virus makes the rounds, they’re less likely to fall sick.

They’re far less likely to suffer from unpleasant digestive problems, like gas, bloating, indigestion, stomach cramps, nausea, constipation, or even diarrhea.

They also have an easier time keeping their cholesterol and blood lipid levels under control.

And if that’s the icing on the cake, so to speak, the cherry on top is that many of them also have an easier time losing weight and keeping it off for good. (See yesterday’s email, if you missed this.)

However, there is an important caveat to all this.

In fact, there are two:

First — the benefits don’t come from taking generic “probiotics”.

There’s a good reason for this. Just like the species of dog (i.e. Canis familiaris), species of probiotics (like Bifidobacterium lactis or Saccharomyces boulardii) come in different “breeds”.

Scientists call these breeds “strains”.

And while some of these strains are effective at protecting your body, others are useless. (If they were dogs, they’d be chihuahuas. No offense if you own a chihuahua. They’re cute dogs and I love to pet them. But if a robber broke into my home, I’d feel safer with a doberman.)

Many of the clinical studies I told you about this week are quite clear: trial participants who were given one strain saw quantifiable improvements to their health, while other groups who were given a different strain saw the same results as the group who were given the placebo.

In other words, you only get these health benefits from specific strains. Not from “generic” Bifidobacterium lactis or Saccharomyces boulardii.

There’s a second caveat:

Even a probiotic supplement like my RightBiotics Rx — which contains the same specific strains used in these clinical trials, at the same doses — is NOT a “magic pill” for good health.

RightBiotics Rx is a supplement, not a substitute.

In other words, they’re intended to support a healthy lifestyle, where you’re eating a relatively clean diet, partaking in modest exercise, and enjoying a sensible amount of sleep. However, as you’ve seen (if you followed my emails this week), we now have a plethora of solid research that clearly proves there’s a link between the balance of your microbiome and many of the health issues that, until now, Western medicine could only “manage”.

For many people, bringing their microbiome back into balance — by replenishing their gut with the specific strains of friendly bacteria it needs — is the missing piece of the puzzle.

And it could be the case for you too.

That’s why I decided to run this special promotion for RightBiotics Rx.

It’s not always easy to commit to a new lifestyle change, even if that change is to, literally, take a new pill every day. So I decided to run a fun contest — to make it easy for you to say, “I’m in!”

Your investment for a 30-day trial of RightBiotics Rx is just $37.

(And, as always, it’s covered by an unconditional 365-day satisfaction guarantee. Put RightBiotics Rx to the test in your life. See how it improves your digestion, your immune system, your mood, your energy levels, and your overall health and wellbeing. And if, for any reason at all, you’re not satisfied, reply to any of these emails and I’ll give you a full refund.)

If you order your trial before midnight TONIGHT, you’ll also get entered into a prize draw, which we’re running first thing on Monday morning. If we pull your name from the hat, you’ll win an entire year’s supply of RightBiotics on the house. But you must order today.

Hi, I'm Dr. Steve Sisskind, Chief Medical Officer & Founder at RealDose Nutrition.

As a young physician, I struggled because my patients came to me with serious health issues, but I didn't have the right tools to help them. Medical school taught me how to put "band aids" on their symptoms with drugs and surgery, but not how to address the root causes of their problems.

Years later I discovered a better approach... based on the fundamental idea that the power of nutrition can transform your health and vitality. But there's a lot of confusion... What foods should I eat? Which supplements should I take? What does the science say?

I have dedicated my life to answering these questions... And I share this knowledge with you every day here at RealDose Nutrition.
